With four new tracks and featured collaborations with Kash Juliano and Guapdad 4000, budding artist Abby Jasmine is excited to hear what fans think of the release of her most recent project; the deluxe edition of her album, “Who Cares?”

The Geffen/Cinematic Music Group’s musician shared a new side of herself on “Who Cares?” that she explained is the most honest she’s been in her music thus far.

During a Zoom press conference, Jasmine said she hopes listeners see her vulnerability and overall growth as an artist from her earlier music to now. She explained she wants fans to see, “growth in the music, in the writing, and just me as a person.”

The Long-Island based musician enjoyed playing around with various genres on this project, mixing pop with R&B, and even dabbling into rap, which the artist plans to expand on.

Jasmine passionately expressed her feelings toward R&B, admitting her unapologetic love for its soulful sounds even though others claim it’s a dying genre.

Jasmine said, “elements of R&B exist in damn near everything we listen to,” adding, “it's not dead, it’s not gone, it's just transitioning into things that aren’t as traditional.”

The artist hopes listeners will catch the elements of R&B she’s included in her music and enjoy it as a fresh take on the classic genre.

In her newest deluxe album, “Who Cares?” Jasmine opens up in a more personal way than she has in her past music.

She explained the title of the EP was inspired by her realization that she didn’t need to listen to the opinions of others to release good, honest music.

This newfound attitude encouraged the artist to focus on the voice inside her head instead of the many voices around her offering unwanted suggestions.

Jasmine realized she was letting other people’s opinions make her rethink the things she worked so hard on and took a step back to ask, “Who Cares?,” acknowledging her own opinion was the only one that really mattered.

“Especially since the music I was making was so different from the music I had made before, and I felt like I was I was growing and being more honest and open with myself,” Jasmine explained. “I didn't want anybody to discourage me, if we're being honest, so I just locked myself and my producers in a room and I said listen it’s just us, they’re going to hear it when it's done.”
