Dreamer Boy
Blooming, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Dreamer Boy is sharing his latest album All the Ways We Are Together. With the release date carefully picked to be Earth Day, the artist, whose real name is Zach Taylor, says he wrote the album with the intention of spreading positivity while also telling the story of a time in his life when he felt true love and gained genuine friendships.
The album features a number of hits that have been released over the past year, including songs like “Know You,” “Crybaby,” and “Don’t Be a Fool,” and with those songs, and with all of Taylor’s music in general, you get a little taste of every style of music.
“I love experimenting with…. how the music wants to come out of me,” Taylor explained. He also said that there is no music lover who listens to one specific style of music, and the type of music you listen to depends on your mood. So, with his latest album, he’s hoping to have a song to fit every mood.
The artist said the experience of creating the album has been a unique one because he started the process before the world shut down due to the pandemic. He said that the way he’s viewed what the album meant then to what it means now has completely changed as he’s gone through the pandemic. As a way of staying in touch with his friends, family and fans, he’s created an Instagram page dedicated to bringing people together, properly named after his latest album, and with it, he hopes to expand his community.
Through the process of wanting to bring others together, he also said that sometimes it’s easy to feel far from the ones you love. The song “Crybaby” is one that speaks to that feeling and the ultimate realization that, as we grow older, our group of friends starts to get smaller and smaller.
Over time, Taylor says he hasn’t fallen into any fame or recognition, but rather sees any form of praise as a form of encouragement that his music is sticking to others and bringing people together, but says he feeds off the unspoken praise he feels when he’s able to feel the energy of his fans while he performs.
